atheist funeral customs
Usually how are marriages and funerals held for atheists?

No offence meant at all, but this point has left me wondering for quite a long time..usually marriages and funerals are based on religious customs,..so do you go along the way of your former religions, if you had any?or, if your future spouse is a theist(for marriages), do you let your marriage be held according to their customs and traditions, or do you simply register the marriage/death legally?how are they held?
If my question seems a bit offensive, please tell me, and i’ll remove the question without further ado..

Not offensive at all. Wedding ceremonies are performed by officiants / (Justice of the Peace) who take out all of the religious references, and keep in the love and honor part. Getting a wedding license is a legal procedure that a couple can apply for at City Hall – they can even be married by a City Hall Officiant.
Couples often write their own vows, etc.
For funerals & memorial services – much is said about the accomplishments of the deceased, and speeches made by the feelings of the people that they left behind, without mentioning God or other religious references.
