Did you choose your own religion or did your parents choose for you?
I am asking this question because we want our child to choose his own religion. I am an Atheist and my husband is Catholic but our families is composed of Catholics and Mormons. My family keeps asking me when I am going to baptize our son, even my mom wants to be the Godmother and she is Mormon! I keep telling them that I want him to choose for himself, which made me wonder, if you were left to pick, would you chose a religion at all, be a believer without religion or become an Atheist?
*cadisneygirll*, The Catholics are the ones asking when he will be baptized, not the Mormons.
When i was young i went to the church my parents wanted ,but im 21 now and i have not gone to church in years so i guess they chose for me but if i find something different that i believe in then of course i would make up my own mind.im sure something like that would be hard but just remember they are your kids and right now it is your choice not your parents or anybody else just make sure they know you support them no matter what
