Do You Believe God Speaks to You?? HE DOES – In Your Thoughts

Thoughts come into our head from the spiritual realm, not from biology. The word “inspiration” means “a spirit goes into it.” The New Testament says there are two sources of wisdom, above and below, from God or the devil. James 3:14-17: Wisdom from below is “earthly, sensual devlish.” Wisdom from above is “peaceable, full of mercy, gentle, easy to be entreated”
Jewish people often think it’s ok to talk to God but if he talks back you’re crazy. Psychiatrists ask if you hear voices and if you say “yes God talks to me”, they are trained to think you’re psychotic. They label such people schizophrenic. This is from an atheistic worldview.
Freud, the father of psychiatry, was an atheist. Christianity teaches you’re supposed to hear God speak to you. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me.” John 10:3-5. This is one difference between Judaism and Christianity. Historically, Jews heard from God. Abraham walked and talked with God; At the time of Moses the entire nation of Jews all heard God speak out loud on Mt: Sinai: (Dent 4:12) They said, “who can hear God and live? Talk to us thru prophets.” God said OK. So during the time of the prophets, that’s what He did. But a new covenant was prophesied by the prophet Jeremiah in Jer 31:31. Since that covenant, God once again speaks directly to people thru the Holy Spirit, which is a part of God. Jesus, who was a part of God (the trinity is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit) walked and talked with people as a sign that God wanted to be that close to us again. After Jesus ascended to Heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit from God to be on the earth to speak to us and to live inside us (that’s what being born again means).
Jeremiah 31:31 came to me in a dream when I asked God if it was true that Jesus is the messiah. It says, “I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, not like the covenant I made with them when I took them out of the land of Egypt, which covenant they brake… for they shall all know me… for I will forgive their iniquity and remember their sin no more.”
The other scripture in my dream was Zech 11-14. In it, it says “They will look upon me whom they have pierced, and mourn for him as an only son”.
The divinity of Jesus is explained in the Gospel of John. John 1:1 “in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.
John 1:14: the word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:17 “the law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. So Jesus who was the word became flesh as a man.
In John 17:5 Jesus prays “Glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
His Hebrew Name Yeshua means Salvation.
Hebrews 1:1-4 (NT) : God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things by whom also he made the worlds, who being the brightness of his glory & the express image of his person, & upholding all things by the word.of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high; being so much better than the angels-, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they:”
The TRINITY is explained in 1John 5:7: There are 3 that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.
Isaiah 9:6: To us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name ;hall be called Wonderful counselor, the mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of peace.
Isaiah 11:10: “his rest shall be glorious”.
Psalm 2: Kiss the Son.
Read Isaiah 53, which is NOT in the liturgy in shul because it is SO OBVIOUSLY about Jesus: “For the transgression of my people he was stricken, with his stripes we are healed. My righteous servant shall justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities.”
The temple was destroyed in 70 AD because it was no longer necessary to keep sacrificing animals for sins – Jesus did it once and for all for mankind.
To have an intimate relationship with God BE SAVED,
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son that whosoever believes on him will not perish but have everlasting life.”
Accept Jesus as your messiah. He was the atonement for your sins. Repent of your sins. Unforgiveness is sin, so ask the Holy Spirit if there is anyone you need to forgive, and forgive them. THe Holy SPIrit will talk to you in your thoughts.
Pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit, which testifies that Jesus IS the Messiah.
Be baptized in water in Jesus’ name.
Pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit which Jesus called power from m high as evidenced by talking in tongues – a heavenly prayer language. (Acts 2) Once you receive it you can repeat it at will and the power of God will kick in; you’ll feel the Holy Spirit. God will use it to speak to you. As you pray in tongues, you will have thoughts in your head that are the interpretation from the Holy Spirit. He uses tongues to talk to us in a private way that the devil can’t understand. That way he can’t intercept those prayers. He will also give others the interpretation when it is His purpose to do so.
Get a King James bible with a concordance. Avoid the more modern translations (the NIV, NRSV, etc. – they have been tampered with and leave out scriptures. Get a bible with a concordance since God often speaks in one word to lead us to a scripture. The concordance lists words and where they occur in scriptures. You can also buy a complete concordance like Strongs, or get the bible on computer which has a complete concordance.
Also, renounce all drugs, such as nicotine or caffeine or alcohol or street drugs or psych meds. All drugs are openings for unclean spirits which contaminate the Holy Spirit… To pray effectively, you need to be pure. If one prays contaminated unclean spirits can be transmitted to your target or bring answers from a demonic spirit rather than God.
In order to hear only from God and not demonic spirits, it is important to avoid drugs. This includes caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, pot, lsd, etc and all psych meds. They are all openings for lying demonic spirits.
Other things that can be openings for spirits other than the Holy Spirit are: noise (music, tv, radio – don’t pray when they are on); the presence of bad music recordings is a spiritual opening for demonic spirits to be around the person or in the room; the presence of books that are inspired by another spirit-anything that contradicts the bible (new age, occult, philosophy are openings for lying spirits & should be removed); occult objects, art, symbols (such as peace signs, jewish stars) are openings for other spirits.
The best place to pray and hear from God is outside in nature or a church with no crucifixes or statues or a room with no books, food, alcohol, music tapes.
Demonic spirits are what cause mental & physical illness. They can affect our thoughts, emotions & bodies. They can be rebuked in Jesus’ name, once you have removed the source for them. Sometimes it is sin, and that needs to be repented of first; then you have authority to rebuke them. You can ask God to tell you what you need to repent of or remove.
Unrepentant sin is also an opening for lying spirits to talk to us. You can ask the Holy Spirit to tell you if there is any sin you need to repent of and He will tell you in your thoughts or lead you to a scripture that answers it.
Unforgiveness is sin. Jesus said that if we don’t forgive others their trespasses against us, God won’t forgive ours.
Sometimes God’s voice sounds audible. It is a quiet voice, it does not scream or harangue or condemn or accuse or mock; demons do that.
God often speaks in questions, getting us to probe our hearts or motives.
God often speaks in one or two words, inducing us to search scriptures with these words, to get a clearer idea of what he is conveying. A concordance is very useful because it has a list of words and where they occur in scripture; to help us find the intended scripture. Many bibles have a concordance in the back. You can do a word search on the computer to find every scripture with a certain word in a bible program.
God often speaks from scripture; that is how we can recognize that it is his voice speaking to us. That is why it is important to read and know his word; so we are familiar with it and hence can recognize his voice. Jesus said
“The Holy Spirit will bring to remembrance all that I have taught you”John 14:26
We can feel God’s peace as he speaks to us, as a confirmation that it is from God.
Jesus said “My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you” John 14:27
We can FEEL the Holy Spirit’s presence
It can be fleeting, or last longer. It can be a tingly energy on our heads, or goosebumps, or heat flooding through our heart or love flooding through us, often during worship. When it is fleeting, that is what is called as “getting a witness of the Holy Spirit”. It is there as an indicator that something that was said is true or is of God, or that God is confirming a statement or empowering a prayer one just prayed.
Reading God’s Word Brings His Presence
God’s spirit dwells in his word. The gospel of John says “In the beginning was the Word and the word was with God and the word was god” John 1:1 So God’s word is literally a part of God. Hence we EXPERIENCE GOD’ Presence when we read his word.
He says “Abide in me and I in you” John 15:4 which means that if we read his word we are abiding in His presence, and His presence will be in us.
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7
We can abide in him by listening to worship music; his spirit surrounds us as we listen or sing
We also abide in Him by praying; as we pray, we invoke his spirit and it fills us and strengthens us.
Go to a Pentacostal or Charismatic church where they believe in and pray in tongues, or a messianic synagogue where they believe in Yeshua as Messiah.
The Vineyard Christian Fellowship is a charismatic denomination that has powerful, annointed worship music which invokes the presence of God. When His presence is there, He often speaks to us. Their songs sing TO God rather than About God. This brings a more intimate presence of the Holy Spirit. You can listen to Vineyard Music on Youtube on the web. Their songs are used in many churches. You can buy cds on their website or in stores. I became a Christian due to several powerful encounters with God; the first was in a house church of the Vineyard. There was a spirit of love flooding thru me, and it was obvious it had something to do with Jesus, the savior. Jesus’ spirit is one of love.
After this experience, I asked God to show me if it was true Jesus is the messiah. He gave me a dream with two scriptures from the Old Testament; Jer 31:31 and Zech 12-14. God often talks to us through dreams or visions. It says in the book of JOB that God will talk to a man though dreams or visions.
